Disney Plus announces 38% increase and US ad plan, They announced on Wednesday (10) that the streaming service Disney Plus will have an ad plan in the US starting in December, plus a 38% increase in the Premium option is the platform.
The new Basic plan with ads will cost $7.99 per month and does not have an annual subscription option. The Premium plan (no advertising), will go from the current US$ 7.99 to US$10.99 monthly starting December 8th this year.
The ad plan will include the same content as Disney Plus, but some titles may not run advertising, according to the stream. It is worth noting that there is still no forecast for this new subscription format to arrive in Brazil.
In addition to Disney Plus, the company also announced changes to other streams in the US. The ad-free plan Hulu will go from $12.99/month to $14.99, while the ad option goes from $6.99 for $7.99/month.
The new Hulu pricing takes effect on October 10th. It is worth remembering that Disney had already announced an increase for the streaming ESPN Plus in July, raising the monthly price from $6.99 to $9.99/month.
